They are not the cheapest that you can get but they say that their customer service and speed make up for the extra that you have to pay. They launched their mobile broadband after their broadband services and their 3G services have yet to cover the whole country – right now, in the areas where it is available, it is good but there are parts where you just cannot get connectivity.
Who they are
O2 Mobile Broadband are a part of Europe’s Telefónica O2 group and they have a lot of experience in telecommunication services in many European countries. They entered recently into the UK but in a short time, they have managed to make great strides when it comes to both speed and reliability of telecommunication services.
What they offer
They offer three mobile broadband packages and you have to pay for the hardware unless you sign up for an 18 month or 24 month package when the USB modem comes free. All users can access their wifi hotspots at The Cloud. You pay as per the various download speed packages and anything extra is charged per Mb – there’s a rate for individual customers and one for business users.
How they are perceived
Their customer service is good and they are seen as reliable. However, with their mobile broadband, if the user has to travel to different locations, he might not get good connectivity in many of them as their 3G coverage isn’t as good all over the country yet. Since many of them have had a great experience with their broadband services, they take a bundled package which includes mobile services as well.
